在思考人类如何通过我的色觉缺陷来精确传达颜色时,我发现动物使用颜色进行跨物种交流。在穆勒氏拟态中,各种毒蛙使用相同的鲜艳颜色和图案向捕食者发出毒性信号。这让我开始思考人工培育的具有独特图案的青蛙。如果将它们引入生态系统,它们会破坏现有的颜色交流系统吗?通过人工突变改变的物种可能会对生物拟态的自然循环产生哪些不可逆转的影响?
在这个项目中,我使用实时互动游戏,让参与者动态控制和模拟由于人工干预而导致的青蛙纹理突变过程,并将它们重新引入生态系统以观察捕食者的反应。

Contemplating how people can precisely communicate colors through the lens of my color vision deficiency, I discovered animals using colors to communicate across species. In Müllerian mimicry, various species of poisonous frogs use identical bright colors and patterns to signal their toxicity to predators. This led me to ponder artificially bred frogs with their distinct patterns. If introduced into ecosystems, could they disrupt the existing color communication system? What irreversible impacts might species altered through artificial mutation have on the natural cycle of biological mimicry?
In this project, I employed motion-capture for real-time interactive gaming, allowing participants to dynamically control and simulate the process of texture mutation in frogs due to artificial intervention, and reintroduced them into the ecosystem to observe predator responses.
